RED NOSES International (RNI) is an artistic and humanitarian organization that connects with diverse groups of audiences through the art of clowning. We work with children in hospitals, children and youth with disabilities, individuals in crisis situations, and senior citizens. Our headquarters, located in Vienna, coordinates 11 RED NOSES organizations across Europe and the Middle East, and is responsible for our global outreach efforts.

Position summary

RNI is seeking a visionary and dynamic Head of Organisational Development (OD) to lead our OD team at the international headquarters. This is a middle management role focused on driving organisational change, fostering international collaboration and shaping the strategic direction of our international organisation.

As Head of Organisational Development you will play a key role in supporting RED NOSES and its different organisations in their intentional and strategic development. You will lead initiatives in strategy development and implementation, leadership development and digital transformation while cultivating a culture of continuous learning and development across the organisation.

This position requires excellent facilitation skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to lead collaborative processes across diverse teams and cultures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support organisational development processes across RED NOSES and its local organisations.
  • Design and facilitate international leadership gatherings and develop frameworks for international community meetings.
  • Facilitate strategy development and implementation, integrating insights from innovation and sector trends.
  • Develop and implement harmonised systems for onboarding, learning, and professional development.
  • Oversee the digital transformation journey of RED NOSES, ensuring alignment with strategic organisational goals.
  • Supervise the management and coordination of RED NOSES Branch Offices.
  • Stay connected to external OD networks and monitor emerging trends to inform internal practices.
  • Lead the OD team in the headquarters, including budgeting and planning responsibilities

Your profile

  • Multi-year experience in organisational development, or a related field
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills, especially in international and intercultural contexts, preferably non-profit organisations.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Experience in digital transformation
  • Experience in strategic HR as well as learning & development systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for social impact and alignment with RED NOSES’ mission and values.
  • Fluent English(spoken and written), additional languages are an asset
  • A proactive mindset, openness and initiative
  • Passion for working in a diverse and international organization
  • Great sense of humour and resilience in dynamic environments
  • Clean Police Record
  • Willingness to travel and be vaccinated

Salary

The actual minimum salary is 55,000 € gross per year (on a 38.5-hour basis), the actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. The salary is paid 14 times per year.
