About the Role
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will take full commercial ownership of key accounts, ensuring customer retention, growth, and long-term success. You will work closely with decision-makers to develop high-value partnerships, maximize account potential, and expand business opportunities over time.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow strategic accounts
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at decision-making levels.
- Identify upsell opportunities and drive account expansion.
- Monitor and mitigate churn risks, addressing competitive threats.
- Create data-driven strategic account plans to maximize customer success.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Product.
What You’ll Focus on in the First 90 Days
- Analyze assigned customer portfolios, mapping key stakeholders and decision-making processes.
- Identify pain points, budget structures, and unmet customer needs.
- Assess churn risks and potential threats from competitors.
- Uncover revenue opportunities by identifying service gaps and expansion potential.
- Engage less-active stakeholders, especially those involved in budgeting and procurement.
- Develop strategic account plans to track progress against customer goals and business growth potential.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in account management, enterprise sales, or customer success.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, tech, or professional services (event industry experience is a plus).
- Ability to develop long-term strategic account plans and retain key clients.
- Fluency in English (C1 or higher), other languages are a plus.
- Based in Vienna.

Salary
The actual minimum salary is 3,499.78 € gross per month (on a 38.5-hour basis), the actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. The salary is paid 14 times per year. In addition, a monthly bonus is paid. The collective agreement Information und Consulting (IC) applies.
